Important Information About Your November Statements

We’re making some changes to serve you better! As part of the changes, we’re upgrading our systems to make sure you have a better banking future.

With the system upgrade this month, First Calgary members will see some changes to their statements. These changes apply to both paper statements and e-Statements.

Statements

Personal – November statements

Members with personal accounts will receive two statements in November. The first November statement captures all transactions from your last statement date until November 13, 2020.

  • The first November statement does not include a monthly service fee.

The second November statement captures all transactions between November 14 and 17, 2020.

  • The second statement will include a reduced monthly service fee.

Together, these two statements will capture all transactions during the usual statement cycle. You will see a return to one statement in December.

*If you receive e-Statements, you may not receive an email notification of the delivery of the November statements. Please visit online banking to view the e-Statements.

Business – November Statements

Members with business accounts will receive two statements in November. The first November statement captures all transactions from your last statement date until November 13, 2020.

  • The first November statement does not include a monthly service fee.

The second November statement captures all transactions between November 14 and 30, 2020.

  • The second statement will include a monthly service fee.

Together, these two statements will capture all transactions during the usual statement cycle. You will see a return to one statement in December.

Annual Statements

Members who receive an annual statement will receive two statements in 2020. The first statement in November provides updates from your last statement date until November 13, 2020.

The second annual statement you’ll receive this year, will capture all updates between November 14 and the end of the annual cycle. You will see a return to your usual annual statement cycle in 2021.

Statement Look and Feel

On your next statement, you’ll notice a new design celebrating our connection to Connect First Credit Union. Over the past few years, four amazing Alberta credit unions – Mountain View, Chinook, Legacy and First Calgary Financial – have come together under the banner of Connect First. We have a vision of creating a credit union built for our times and you’ll be hearing a lot more about Connect First in the months ahead!

Transactions will now be captured as Debits (previously withdrawals) and Credits (previously deposits) on your statement.

Primary and Joint Statements

If you have multiple solely owned accounts (no joint owners), the accounts will be combined on one statement and it will be addressed to you. 

If you are the primary account holder of a jointly owned account, you will receive a separate statement for the accounts that are jointly held. These statements will be addressed to all owners.
